Clatter noise from transmission in neutral.

Ok, just finished up with my auto to manual conversion and I noticed that there is a clatter noise or kind of rattle noise comming from the transmission when it's in neutral and the clutch pedal is not engauged. If I push the clutch pedal in the noise goes away. Could my throw out bearing be making some noise? I also noticed that there is no spring or anything holding the throw out bearing in place other than the clutch fork. Is this right? There is tension on the clutch fork when the clutch is in its normal position, so that should mean that there is pressure on the throw out bearing.. Right??? I'm worried that this sound means that there is something wrong with my newly refurbished 5 speed. Any info on this would be great!!
