Long crank time to start truck. HPOP???
I just put my motor back in my truck after putting in new injectors and fuel pump. I also just put in new o-rings in the HPOP and now I seem to have a problem starting the truck. It takes a real long crank time to start my truck now. Approx 4 to 5 seconds before it fires up. Once it starts it runs great. I know it's not the GPR or glow plugs cause they are all new and they all ohmed out just fine. Besides, I can drive my truck around for an hour or so and then shut it off. Then when I go to turn it back on after just a few seconds off, it's the same start problem. It takes 4 to 5 seconds of cranking for it to start. I'm thinking that I messed something up in the HPOP and that is causing it to lose oil pressure, but I dont know what to look for and how can the HPOP lose oil pressure that fast? I am at a loss as to why the long start.... Any info on this would be greatly apprecitated.
