In reality I don't believe that an additive can remove water from diesel. In a gasoline engine the additive mixes with the water and then mixes with the gas in order to burn it. It never changes the chemical structure of water.

That is why in a diesel you will always find a water separator on the fuel system

I could be wrong but the above is what I have been told.
