ECM's on every Ford I've ever owned where in the interior with the plug going through the firewall into the engine bay and usually on the passenger side. On my older body style 91 the ECM or TECA or PCM (pick your acronym) is in the passenger side footwell right below the inside blower housing. From the engine bay you can just see the large connector under the blower.
