Gents,

I've read through all the past posts. I have had coollant loss (not sure where it went) and have the popping thing happen when under load. I have an 04 Excursion, 125K miles. I unplugged the EGR on the way back from Talladega to New Orleans, 340 miles. I didn't notice any coolant temp changes and no popping (I had no trailer, but had plenty of hills)

Regarding the last post.....could the EGR be switched in the cabin, where it could be turned on, when under load, by the driver, as a quick fix, until the SCT programer/gauges could be purchased/removal of Cat. Converter? Or maybe even the idea of an EGR delete operation.
