Well, it's 9:00 PM and I just finished the bowl rebuild. I WILL NEVER, EVER, DO THAT AGAIN!!!! I don't care what the stealership charges for the job, it's going to the garage. I'm retired army and thought I knew how to cuss until I got into this; this job gave a whole new meaning to cussing. I spent almost an hour just trying to put the little hose back on the drain nipple. I put it on before I bolted down the fuel bowl, but couldn't move it back enough to start the bolts. So, I took it off and bolted down the bowl. I finally had to bend the pipe which broke it loose from it's clamps, replaced the hose to finally get it on. Then used zip ties to secure it. Not to mention, I had to drive to north Austin, 60 miles just for the o-ring kits; $70 for 5 o-rings and 4 sleeves. Did I mention that I hit a deer on I-35 with my G/wing and tore it up pretty badly? I managed to keep it up, but it's got major damage. Jeez! What a job/week.
Almost forgot; I broke a sensor. It's the one directly in front of the left bowl bolt. Can someone tell me what that is so I can get it ordered.
Thanks to all for all the help I received here and the instructions I d/loaded from guzzle's site were invaluable.
