Just worked on one in a gen set. Heads are the same, you will need to ask a GOOD parts guy about the cams. You will need 12 Injectors, 1 governor housing and 1 slave governor housing. Racks, rack rods, look into the piston/liner thing also. Gear train should be the same BUT maybe the blower drive gear might be different. Also check on the correct turbo's. Sometimes turbo's are different due to the precise air/fuel mix. Fuel jumper lines and fuel stands. I will think on it tonight.
Also worked on my first 24V-71 gen set. What a nasty engine than is. There is a lot of BS on that engine. Sounded good.
Still like the old dirty dozen, 12V 149's are cool also. those 2 engine will make love to you on the dyno.
