My recomendation is to invest in a centrifuge. This is the path that I took and I have been VERY satisfied.
I bought the CF and then installed an in line immersion heater just before the CF heating the oil up to approx. 150F and then filter at about 5-8 GPH. Once this is done I mix 50/50 with diesel and pour into my 1000 gallon skid tank. At the pump I installed a 2 mic filter as an added bit of protection. I am at approx. 800 gallons on the 2 mic filter at the pump and it shows no signs of restricted flow yet.
The only change that I plan to make is to install a water trap before the immersion heater as I have recieved a lot of oil in 55 gal. drums. A few of these had more than a couple of gallons of water in them,my thinking is a clear water trap/filter would simplify the process.
With my buisness I use 100 gallons of fuel per week approx. so I am always on the lookout for WMO.
I have been doing this for 1 year with ZERO problems. Now @ 40k on 1 truck and about 20-25k on the 2nd. At 35k on 1st truck I had Ryan Casserly remove the injectors and inspect them for any problems. There were no related issues at all only a couple of bad O-rings that were replaced.
For icing on the cake if you go this route, live tuning by Bill @ PHP really was money well spent.
