I know for a fact that BD has way fewer BTU's the Diesel so the engine puts out less HP therefore it stands to reason that mileage is also reduced.

Dumping filthy gritty carbon laden oil into a fuel system I painstakingly try to keep clean using the occassional tank of BD or Seafoam is one thing I am not going to do.
