Your engine warranty is 5 years or 100,000 miles whichever comes first. If your only driving a few miles at a time and not regenerating the DPF you will have problems with the DPF and the emission controls probably other engine problems as well. Diesels were designed to work hard. It doesn't sound like you are getting the engine even warm. This is not good for any engine even a gasser. I'd would get a Spartan tuner - Discussion of illegal activity is not allowed on TheDieselStop. Therefore, discussion of tampering with or the removal of exhaust emissions control equipment is strictly prohibited on all The Diesel Stop forums except the off-road forum. And in the off-road forum, tampering with or non-use of emissions control equipment can be discussed only in connection with building a vehicle that is not licensed to operate on the public streets and highways, and is therefore exempted from the laws and rules published by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Exhaust emissions control equipment includes catalytic converter, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, diesel particulate filter (DPF), urea injection system, or any other type of emissions control equipment that may be used by Ford in future models to comply with EPA requirements. Any post not in compliance with these rules will be removed without notice.
- Please note that forum signatures are subject to the same rules as forum posts. We are seeing prohibited items like emissions modifications, for sale items, etc. in user signatures. These will be removed without notice. Continued violations may result in user bans.
and try get that truck hot and working.
