I want to make a pivoting or tilt down tire carrier ie you could lower the tire down to the ground and unbolt it on the ground.. and same with reloading it..i may mount a small boat winch to lift it..plus that way my wife could change the tire if needed.. because she isn't gonna be able to lift a 285/75/ 16 spare out of the back of the truck and or take one off a spare carrier either.. something to think about..I could do it, obivously... but if your spouse drives the truck ..thats something to think about..even picking up the flat tire and rim and putting it into the back of the truck would be a huge struggle for a small woman..so I hope my idea works.. I will post pictures when I do it..probably this summer though. I plan on one board air system too so a impact would be available too..should be sweet
