Wow man that sucks. My guess (and only a guess) is that if everything was cleaned and recleaned so that nothing could have possibly made it into the pump, chalk it up to part failure. I have never seen this personally, but this site is awesome & I'm sure someone on here has. Anyway, I have seen my share of new part failure, and good luck getting the supplier to pay warranty labor.
