I have a 2002 7.3 F350. The only time I have had excessive fuel in the oil in the truck or my tractor is from excessive idling. The one time I had it in the truck I was driving on a route that would leave me stuck in traffic for 30-45 minutes to go 3-5 miles.

Once I was able to avoid that mess I no longer had fuel in the oil.
You just have to change the oil if you are idling too much. What was surprising to me was how little idling compared to driving time would get fuel in the oil. Out of 650ish miles on a tank of fuel only 50 would be in stop and go traffic but that was enough to get fuel in the oil.
Most of the time I don't need to run my tractor at PTO speed but I don't run it at idle either. I still had some fuel in the oil. So I just bumped up the RPMS and that was enough to solve the problem. Can't really do that on the truck.
