If they spliced in a new IPR connector (which as Evel mentioned in the same as the injector connectors under the valvecovers), they could have replaced the fuel bowl harness. It isn't all that cheap ($65 at Powerstrokeshop.com) and there are two different ones depending on the year of truck. The early one seems to always be the expensive one. The later harness will work in both early and late OBS trucks (I used a late one on my 94 withough problems). Here's the part number:
