My truck has been on the alignment rack 13 times and 3 of those I paid for out of pocket because I took the truck to independent shops to try and fix my problem. The problem I have/had was a severe pull to the left, steering wheel ****ed to the left and the truck is very twitchy on the road. The dealership did several alignments out of their pocket to try and correct this problem. Then they called in a FSE and he said there was nothing wrong with the alignment. I disagreed and asked the dealership to look at the truck yet again for something else since alignments weren't fixing the problem. They told me the FSE said not to perform anymore alignments or work related to alignments. I said *** and started a DSB process to have the truck bought back if they couldn't fix it. In the mean time that is when I had 3 local shops, Les Schwab, Big O and Manteca Tire which was recommended to me by the Manteca Ford dealership. I was unable to make a good enough argument that the truck had a defect that warranted a repurchase. I was told by the BBB that I need to make another repair attempt and I could ask for another BBB hearing which I did. Long story short, the second DSB hearing got me another repair attempt on Fords dime and they sent the FSE that said I didn't have a problem to work on the truck. He was able to stop the pull to the left.... now the truck pulls to the right and the steering wheel is ****ed to the right and the truck is all over the road, I have to work real hard to keep it in its lane. To correct the pull to the left they increased the caster on the left side to 3.9 Degrees and the right side to 3.0. They are within .2 degrees of being out of their spec on the left and I feel the high caster setting is part of the problem as to why the truck is so twitchy. However, this didn't correct the problem it just moved it to the other side. I have hard steering first thing in the morning or on first start of the day. I asked the arbitrator to reconsider, he stated he still didn't feel I had a significant loss and denied my request. So now I have a very expensive truck that is worse off now than when I started and I have been told to basically suck it up. I brought the truck back to the dealer and told them the truck wandered all over the place and they said they compared it to a like truck and it was normal... I am so pissed with what has taken place with this truck. I don't drive it much and I wouldn't want to sell it to anyone like it is and so far, no one can fix it so I may trade it in and take a huge loss on it...
Unless someone can give me some advice on what to do I think that is my only option I have left. This is too bad because otherwise the truck would be a great truck. Any thought out there?
