I'm sure you can just put it in stk.setting and you'll be fine. It all depends on how anal the inspector is, if he/she looks for a control unit or not. see's the extra harness plugged into your computer. Who knows ? If your control switch is in plain sight its a dead giveaway  it might be a good question for DP to tackle.
