I just got my '04 4X4 F250 w/ 69k out of the shop after having the same issues. Turned out that the Oil Cooler was clogged, restricting the flow of coolant and backing up in to the degas bottle. They ended up replacing the oil cooler and even though they said the EGR Cooler was alright I had that replaced as well with an aftermarket one. In addition, they flushed the system, changed the oil and pulled the turbo for cleaning. Now it was runs like a champ. If that turns out to be the problem I hope you're still under warranty.
