1. According to the dealer here, the trailer plug is only hot with the ignition. I just had to ask last week.
2. On the 05, the passenger compartment fuse box lists the following related to towing:
Location 107, 20A, trailer battery charge
Location 301, ISO relay,Trailer tow battery charge
Also, Locations 20,28, 38, and 101 are trailer related.
In the Power distribution Box in the engine compartment:
Location 9, 20A, Trailer tow turn signals
Location 20, 10A, Trailer tow backup lamps
Location 201, 202, relays for right, left turn
If the trailer plug is not hot with the ignition, I would look there, particularly at 107, 301 the battery charge circuit. But work your way backstream from the plug. If the plug is hot the fuse is not the problem.
