Well, I finally got a day off of work and had time to look at my truck. I got a code reader and tried to read for a code, but there was no code. I also pulled out the EGR valve and cleaned it. It looked worse than any dirty EGR valve I have ever seen in pictures. It also had what looked like grease in the middle rather than just carbon build up. Is this normal? Or could it be one more thing that points to a failed injector? I thought it may be unburnt diesel.
Anyways, when I started my truck it ran a lot smoother, but still smokes alot.
I guess I'm going to have to break down and take it to a shop.
