I am a mechanic in pipeline construction and we have several 6.4s. Takes about 2 hours drive up to drive off, unless youre in a hurry. We can't have our trucks at the dealership for even a day so we replace a lot of parts covered by warranty. Gas fuel pumps, power steering pumps, radiators and such. Our engines are running about 3,000 hours run time in 25,000 miles. That's an average speed of 8.3 mph. Compared to my personal 6.0 that has 100k at 3,000 hours. If you do you,re own, pull the intercooler, the upper core support, intercooler pipes, peel the other coolers to the side, remaining 2 bolts out of the bottom half of the shroud, upper and lower radiator hoses. Other then the lower shroud bolts all this is done standing in front of the pickup.
