We're gonna need more details as to what you are up against . If the hoses are disconected it was probably done for a reason, such as a leaking heater core but the heater core connections are on the firewall on the passenger side of the cab about midway up , they should be slightly different sizes , the hoses may be looped to keep dirt out, they should have hose clamp connections if this doesn't make sense we are going to need pictures of your problem.
