Sorry, don't know about that. I couldn't see a seal in the blowup on the 4x4 extension housing. Your tranny shop should be able to tell you about that.

Yes, there's an input seal on the t-case input shaft. Should just be a pry-out and drive in a replacement unless something else is worn.

A PM to Mark Kovalsky here on TDS would help you. He's VERY familiar with these trannies (former Ford tranny engineer).
