It really seems to get the best mileage on that setting. As with most..if not all the overhead on board mileage calculator goes to crap when you install a "chip". The higher the setting the more it is off. My truck averages an HONEST hand calculated 17.5mpg running down the highway at 70-75 with very little wind. A 10-15mph headwind drops it to the mid 16's and a tailwind will raise it to around 18. I am on the highway every week for over 1K miles and have averaged every tank by hand since new. I also run a fuel additive which seems to add a few tenths.

Great info. Thanks so much. I had my truck sort of hickup during start the other day which took away power from the edge. It was blank and worried me while the truck was running so I called them. Turns out the truck just took too much power during start and caused issue. Still not sure why...Anyway....I asked the Edge guy about fuel economy. He told me as most have posted to run in a higher setting if I have good driving habits. I told him I baby the throttle. He said to run in 2 or 3. I put it in 2 and have 1/2 tank run through so far. I bet the est mpg that the truck indicates is off as you mention. It says 15.6 now. I hope to see an improvement next time I fill up. Stock I would get about 11.9 to 12.5 actual hand calculated mileage. My goal is to get 15mpg.

My truck also hit regen mode last night for about 8-10 miles. EGT got pretty hot, about 1100-1200 degress for the entire time. I guess that is normal right?
