I know this is digging up an old thread and a beaten to death issue but I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents.
I'm having the same issue, and found that my vac solinoid was bad so I replaced it. My SOTF worked right after replacing it exactly one time. And I'm back to not working again. My vac pump works. It runs and then stops once vac is built up. If I unplug a vac line it starts running again. I figure that since it stops running, that it doesn't have a vac leak and I can't find one if it does. Guess I am down to hub seals. I will keep checking. Pain in the ass. I looked for some good manual hubs to replace all that crap but no luck. The end.
