I just ordered out a pair of rear Timbren springs. At 3,000 pounds per side they essentially convert my F-250 to a stealth F-350, but with somewhat less suspension travel.
I saw this done at a local Ford dealer. They sent a brand new F-250 out to a 4WD shop. When it came back, a pair of Timbrens had replaced the bump stops. Also the auxiliary or overload leaf springs (found standard on F-350s and with the camper package on F-250s) had been removed from their brackets and added to the main spring packs.
That was when I quit worrying about matching spring rates and just went with the Timbrens.
