That's not true. You could fill with 50/50 and top off with concentrate.
The cooling system holds about 8 gal. After a total flush pulling the block plugs, lower hose, etc. you'll have about 1 gal left in the system that won't come out. That leaves 7 gal to fill. Then fill with 5 or 6 gal 50/50 and top off with concentrate to whatever freezepoint you want. Then you won't have to mess with distilled water at the final fill, it's already in the 50/50.
Also Shell makes nothing but low silicate or silicate free coolants. Same with Prestone and others. High silicate coolants are a thing of the past and it's very hard to find any coolant that's
not low silicate or silicate free.
I would double check the make date of that green Shellzone. It only has a shelf life of 18 months because it still has silicate. You might want to look at Shell Rotella ELC it is silicate free and same exact coolant International uses. It has shelf life of 8 years because it has no silicates.
