EGR cooler failures
Ford now states that ANY EGR cooler that has failed demands that the oil cooler also be replaced.
Read up on threads about oil cooler failures and you can get the specifics about the how and why of this problem.
Long story short is that you can temporarily solve the problem with more OEM parts (less initial cost) or choose the bulletproofdiesel (more initial cost) solution and cure the problem.
It all depends on if you're planning on keeping the vehicle.
