First issue ....Feels like the truck has lost maybe 35 % of it's get up and go have done regular maintenance and towed 5 trailers in 6 yrs of owning.

Fuel Efficiency seems to be around 15 MPG but fuel sending unit is goofy and reads empty when you have 5 or 6 gallons left is this normal? for both fuel economy and guage reading that way?

15mpg in-town is normal for me, closer to 16 usually. I have the same truck. 20 or so is more common on the highway depending on wind direction/vehicle speed.

SECOND issue... I noticed in cold weather last few years the wastegate is hanging open and hissing out the tailpipe until truck warms up is my wastegate worn out or the actuator leaking or sluggish ??? Is this why I have lost power IE the boost is getting shunt out thru the tailpipe ???

This is you exhaust back pressure valve. It helps your engine warm up when it's cold. Truck will feel sluggish when it's on. Perfectly normal. If it does not go away once the engine is warm, then you could try unplugging it.

Finally I love this truck and have heard there are chips that will improve economy and power , can I do this without hurting my truck since the weak tranny parts have been fixed??? and should I install boost/exhuast temp/oil temp guages/ tranny temp... if I do this first and who makes the best chip for the lowest cost that will improve MPG and power if I want it? and is this a good way to go ???

Just needed some guidance I love this truck she is just about paid off ......I almost totalled it 2 weeks ago in the snow don't drive with bald tires in 2 wd leson learned as I went sideways down I-75 looking at a new dodge charger thru my windshield in the other lane he wasn't impressed lol.
