Hixter- I'm sorry to hear that. You (and anyone else) can most certainly come for just part of the class.
We;ll be mostly sitting during the class, though- the lab portion of the class is the majority of it, and we'll be sitting for that. We can certainly accommodate people with special needs, just let me know ahead of time. I think the building is handicap accessible, as it's a business, and I can check with the hosts to make sure. Email me offlist for more info (wrench @ tinkersworkshop . org)
Alaska- no, I have no plans on going there, sorry! I'm not even sure of whom to direct you to there...
Florida- there's a biodiesel co-op in Sarasota and Ken Diffendorfer, the guy who started that group, is an absolute expert in all of this. I don't know how open they are to the public (it's someone's backyard operation), but the members are very friendly and they have a Yahoogroups discussion list: search for 'biodiesel' at
www.groups.yahoo.com and you'll find the Sarasota biodiesel list eventually. I think Ken is teaching something in Sarasota sometime, he's tried to get me to come out but it might be a bit far south for me to drive.
A lot of other regional biodiesel people and projects can be found online at
www.forums.biodieselnow.com They're generally not a homebrew discussion forum, but there are a lot of homebrewers/SVO'ers who are members at the forum, especially in the regional section.
