WVO tank in bed with stacks????

If I was to mount a tank for WVO up against my exhaust in the bed would I still need to run coolant coils in the tank??? I figure if you were to use a narrow tank it would transfer the heat pretty good since there would be alot of surface area exposed to the heat. Im thinking it would help heat it but would probably be more of a suppliment to coolant coils. Any ideas????
