Re: Biodiesel
Yea i can get some dimensions, its actually a pretty long motor, this one was a pump application, and i was thinking about milling my adapter to use a non modular 4R70W, i built one a while back and its sitting, good for some serious HP and torque, yet won't suck the life out of the motor like some other transmissions will. I know some power can be made with this motor, i just need someone to guide me in the right direction. Then again i really haven't been trying to find it as i am in no hurry to get this project going. I know the motor has low hours on it, about 1100 i believe, so far the only thing i've done with it is haul it to my friend's place for storage.
As for the WVO, i'm running a heated system now, or was and will again when i get my truck back on the road. I bought an injector nozzle tester specifically because of my worry of ruining the injectors and washing down the cylinders. So far with 30K or so on WVO, most of those miles were running high %'s and unheated too, injectors still spray with a nice cone pattern and atomize very well. I'm also in the process of getting some tanks and playing around with the production of biodiesel, although i will probably not go large scale with that operation, i still want to be able to produce it. Its only a little bit more to go, i can almost do it all in one tank. Right now the truck has Veg in the front tank, and diesel/wvo mixed in the back tank 50/50, i'm trying to get completely off petroleum for combustion, and my motor oil already is on extended change intervals with my bypass filtration kit. So i have an ECO friendly Ford which also amazes me when i drive around town with a tender foot, without letting the turbo spool, i can get triple the mileage my F150 can! BTW WHAT HYPERTECH? you have me scratching my head about that one! lol
