Re: Biodiesel
Patrick, Freighttrain, Biodiesel is easy to make, teh trouble comes in making very high quality biodiesel. I am currently in teh process of going all biodiesel/WVO. I'm having some issues washing some of my batches. Had a couple of bum batches. If you can get oil that is still in good shape, like from seafood places, places that just use it for french fries or onion rings, etc, and chinese food places, you're money ahead , because these oils transesterify much easier,a nd if you burn them straight, they have less chemical nasties in them. Where is it you ahve been getting your WVO from Patrick? What does it look like in color? Mine is from a local burger joint. Its pretty brown/black. It still smells like food, and is rather water free, but has moderate to high FFA levels and is moderately burnt when I get it.
