So is this safe?

I just ran my buddy in his G35 Coupe and ran my EGTs up to 1475* then they cooled off to about 1300* after a shift to 5th. The EGTs were at 1475* for maybe 7-8 seconds is this safe?

BTW we hit 126mph on his Speedo and my truck had just shifted into 5th. 4200 rpm redline now!

All on a closed road course
