It has a standard throw-out bearing and a hydraulic clutch master cylinder. I'm not for sure but I believe the pressure plate has multiple small fingers, it has been a little over a year since I installed a clutch in mine. The clutch on our trucks have been known to throw springs (stock only has three) but I'm not sure if this would cause what your husband is describing in the other thread.
