That's the same photo they used when they were speculating what the 05's were going to look like. They just changed the description text to talk about the anticipated 07's. Also during development, its not uncommon to use a mule from a totally different vehicle to test new components on.
I saw a program on the Discovery Channel talking about Ford's development of a new Shelby or something along those lines. They dropped a V10 into a 2004 Mustang and were beating the hell out of it on the test track. Not sure if they were testing a new tranny or what. The tire smoke was rather spectacular though.
Anyway, like all rumors and such, its all speculation until the vehicles hit the dealerships' lots. Either way, it should be interesting to see what the 07 ends up looking like.
