Re: 2006 ford

John_Wayne,

The real problem with USA manufacturers is cost control to please Wall Street. If I have read things correctly GM is in the tank at a $1,000,000,000 loss. Ford hasn't lost money, but its bonds have been derated to junk quality.

Given increased fuel costs, this whole thing doesn't look good for these guys.

But, if what I have read is correct, GM will come out with a biodiesel friendly duramax. Not a word from Ford on this issue.

Things are changing. Methane fields are now hot and being reexplored. There is a method to convert methane into clean, sulfur free diesel, which meets 2007 requirements.

If the 6.0L PSD is not pleasing the members here, Ford should reconsider its attitude. The Superduty is a big piece of the pie.

I certainly am taking a look at Ford, but this cost cutting attitude leaves me a little cold.
