That's because somebody has bastardized the term. Ford calls it the Manifold Intake Air Heater (MIAH), and lots of folks drop the "M" and make it IAH.
We also have an Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor, but folks usually don't call it the AIT sensor. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/warmsmile.gif[/img]
