[ QUOTE ]
My experience with Ford is that they won't fix any problem that is not reproduceable, but I should not have to haul my horse trailer to their dealership with my horse in it and let them rack up 1000 miles on my truck just to see this problem.

Sometimes that is exactly what has to be done. No, we don't like intermittent problems but they happen and taking extra steps and time to verify and diagnose the problem has to be done. I don't know any technician that owns a Chrystal ball. If the darn thing is operating properly, how would someone diagnose the cause?

I might suggest that you change your attitude towards Ford on the Tow Command System because from the sound of it, the system has been modified to add a second connector? From my experience, tampering by body installers and trailer dealers is the number one cause of problems with that system. As for the trans, heh, blame the dealer that "fixed it."
