Tranny skipping 1st?
My van is a pretty heavy beast. On occasion, in my hilly neighborhood, I drop the tranny down form D to 3rd so I don't have to ride the brakes on the down hills. What I've noticed is that when in 3rd and from a stop, I'm pretty sure my van is not starting in first gear. Feels more like second gear as I can see the RPM's change once as the tranny is shifting up. It's definately more sluggish from a stop when the gear lever is in 3rd instead of D(drive). Is this a sign of trouble?
04 E350 6.0, Torqueshift, 12K miles, no engine or tranny mods besides the Quigley conversion.
