had the exact same thing happen to me, ford wanted 1300 bucks to fix it, so i also put silicon under it, worked great for about 2 months then started to leak again (musta been a bad bottle of silicon [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif[/img]), did it again and holds fine.
