you will NEVER get the V10 to sound like a V8. It just has a different sound.
I am running a custom cat back system with a FLowmaster 50 series truck muffler. 3" in with dual 2.5" outlets. So far this is the best I could find. On my 99, I tried 2 different setups. The 1st was the muffler delete option. TOO LOUD. The 2nd one was a 40 series Flowmaster. NOt bad, but still kind of annoying. I was able to listen to 2 V10s also, One had a glasspack with single in dual outlets. Very tinny sounding. The other had a Walker Superturbo muffler. Can't remember exactly, but I was not impressed. I have to say that the best sounding one I have heard was from someone on this list ( I think) He had a banks Stinger kit(single 3.5").
