Re: Jet A vs Diesel

WEll I'm going to throw down some of my own experiences with Jet A.
I do maintenance activities for a major airline and
we at least twice a month have to defuel ERJ-135, ERJ-145, XRJ-145 aircraft (same size as the G-IVSP or G5). We had a guy that would fill his F350 with Jet A on Lunch break once a week for years. He put over 80,000 miles on Jet A and had no problems with anything,,,,well he had a bigroblem when Airport Police saw what he was doing and that led to him being fired.

Also our GPU's always run on Jet-A and they say on the side to either put Jet-A or Diesel in them. So With all this I don't see Jet A hurting a diesel, even more so if it's only for a couple hundred gallons worth.

Oh yeah I remember him always saying that he got crappy mileage when the fuel had a ton of prist in it. Said it was like winter blend.
