It makes sense especialy for a 6 speed. The ECM can kill fuel completly thus governing RPM's, vehicle movement in gear will spin the motor to whatever it'll take before self-destruction. Ways to stop the motor from spinning when the truck is moving is a crank brake or compression braking (like a true Jake Brake) which is all just therory wiht the 6.0.
