Man, I have had the same issue. I have the cooler in the bottom of the rad, and added 2 true cool units, still had issues. The coolers do not help much if the truck is not moving very fast, and the fan is not engaged.
Go buy an electric fan for the cooler you have, I put mine on a switch, and only run it at low speeds, I will turn it on about 10 min. before the slow speed is expected.
Trans once got to 250... But now same pull leaves trans at 200 max.
