Re: Loss of injectors when cold

Okay, here is the low down......

According to Ford what happened is I lost the left side of the motor for injectors.

The part that went out is called a F I C M (Fuel Injecton Control Module) It is located on top of the valve cover.

Ford will not warranty this b/c they claim it was caused by the Edge chip. They claim that the chip caused it. They also said that they can 100% guarranty that this truck had a chip in it.

Cost of new FICM 845.00 Labor 75.00

What should I do?

If I run the chip with the new FICM it will do it again. This one lasted 45'000 miles.
