Hijacker Hitch

I'm about to acquire slightly used Hijacker SL16.
It was used on a 98 Dodge 2500. The original mounting brackets were welded to the frame of the Dodge. I've emailed Hijacker about replacements.
I've never used/installed a 5th wheel before so I'm hoping ya'll can provide me a list of "gotcha's" to look out for.
Thanks
