Re: Turbo Hose blew off again!
I had the same thing happen about 4 weeks ago, at 17,000 miles. I also ended up with a nice little dent in the hood, as a result.
The nearest Ford dealer installed a new neoprene coupler, but I felt there would still be a chance for a future blow-off, so I did the following.
Several owners on this site offered suggestions as a remedy for this problem. I opted to use a pair of vise grips and slightly flared the entire circumference of the end of the metal tube, which provided a lot more resistance to pull-out. It took about 3 minutes to this.
I also fabricated an aluminum brace and wrapped it around the tube, then bolted it to the alternator base. This took about 30 minutes. See a picture in my Photos section.
