i'm a ford diesel tech & boy i better not get one of these trk's in my shop w/ that glue on it cause i'd hate to have to clean the aluminum surface off. in torqing them the right watch when you torque them to proper specs. the clamp just barely pinch the rubber hose. if you tighten it too much the hose will stretch more & more causing the hose to tear at where the inside of clamp attaches to hose. i've done so so many that i don't need a torque wrench to do it. have had many come in w/ this problem. like i said before earlier in the post, if you do have a continuous problem w/ hoses blowing off, theres got to be a overboost concern. these crummy turbos are our #1 culprits in causing the overboost. sometimes it's insuff. egr flow.
