Boy Craig! you got that right! The reason I asked about the map sensor line is I'm gonna put the 3" SD intakes on that i lucked into for a good price. Think I'l just plug the y @ the sensor location this go-round and Think about the bigger intakes and a fuel system down the road.....Then rig up a fitting at that location, the Cobalt boost gauges has it's own mapsensor that the guage line plugs into so I don't have to relocate it....
Jeff, not to long ago someone posted about picking up a couple of "J" bends and possibly a 45° to fab the pipes out of. Is that the 180° you are thinking of? Can't see how that wouldn't work, that gives you a minimum of four 90°'s, some straight and a 45° to work with.
Brian, I just didn't give much consideration to chrome. Prepping for the chrome would be the exact same procedure as I did to get to the buffing. Once you get the welds ground down, get the god awful jaw marks from the mandrel bender on the stock pipe out, and then sand everything down slick, the polishing part is easy. And I'm not so sure the chrome wouldn't tarnish close to the turbo outlet side due to some pretty high temps on a stock turbo when it gets above it's map range @ wot with inj. and a hot program. My second choice would be to power coat. I love the look that Bob Riley has on his Super Duty
