Successfully installed a 1999 F-350 cluster gauge (with tachometer) in my 1997 PSD E-350 van.

The cluster replacement took about 2-3 hours, but it took a lot longer trying to figure out the electrical differences between the original and the new cluster.

An All-Data DVD was used for gathering information.

The changes can be summarized as follows:

1. Changed numerous pin location within the three existing harness connectors.
2. Added a new wire for the tach input.
3. Converted two indicator lights on the new cluster from hot source, to ground.
4. Eliminated an existing resistor and a transistor from the new cluster.
5. Added new 100k resistor to the circuit board to bring the tach frequency within the adjustment limits.
6. Made some minor changes to the plastic mounting.

Everything is running like a charm, and if somebody would like to do the same conversion, I could provide additional detailed information.
